We had quite a bit of wind and rain today. Afterwards, I went out to check on my recent plantings, and noticed that one of my smaller magnolia trees had burst into bloom, two months after the larger ones had bloomed in early spring. Some of the blossoms were affected by the storm, but this one survived in good shape:
