Thanks for looking and commenting Dave! I have several other plants on the deck, waiting to be munched. I also have some perennial plants, from which I can harvest leaves.
You are lucky to be near an over-wintering site! I wanted to see one of the sites in CA, but we were there a bit too late. High on my bucket list is a trip to the Mexican forests where the huge flocks spend the winter. Maui has a small but thriving year-round resident population of Monarchs. (Where could they migrate to/from, as the nearest land is 2300 mile across the ocean?) I have, however, yet to discover any Milkweed in Maui, although there is an incredible supply of nectar plants.
