I've been out 5 times; got images twice ... through haze & clouds, so not much to write home about.

The two productive trips I've found it about 9:15pm. If I didn't already know it was there, and where it was I'd have never found it.

And it disappears into the haze near the horizon at about 10:15pm.

I've been out photographing it on two nights, July 16th and 18th. Both nights
were far from good...lots of clouds and haze. This is the worst time of the
year to try to do astronomy in Nova Scotia...not that there is ever really a
good time. I used my K-3 on the 16th and tried my Nikon D3 last night. I'm
tweaking a few of the better images now. If anything looks reasonable I'll
post them, but I don't think any of them will come close to what Larry has
been doing!

Excellent! Good to see someone on this list is motivated!

Thanks.

I’m blown away that I’m not seeing more on the list. On facebook I see
people getting shots with cell phones.

It’s quite mind-blowing to see it in person, and if you’re out of town, you
don’t even need binoculars to see it.
