I probably should have worked harder to avoid the mailboxes. If I can get back
out there, on a clear night, and a later moonrise, I'll give that a try.

49913 was one frame that went into making the panos. The panorama from that 3
frame sequence didn't work out because with the speedlight directly on the
camera, droplets in the air reflected light off the speedlight and looked bad.
The big pano was 7 frames. With the K-1 body I'd have been able to get a more
noticeable amount of the milky way in the frame. Maybe if I shoot from a lower
position I'll be able to get more sky in the photo and also block more of the
lights in the background.

Maybe they'll work out better for you.
One technical detail is that some of them were done with 10 second astrotracer
and some were done with 20 second and when you pixel peep you can definitely
tell the difference.
