Thanks. I think that for a lot of the roads I have access to a zero motorcycle
(electric) might be ideal. Super quiet, almost as easy to find a place to park
as a bicycle, on the back roads, especially ones without traffic, could go at
whatever speed you chose, and even the few things you might miss by going
faster than on a bicycle would be made up for by being able to get between the
interesting bits so much more quickly.

I don't have any experience with such safaris. There are a couple of bird
sanctuaries around, and I think a convertible would be ideal. A VW thing would
be awesome for that actually. You could even mount a tripod head to the
rollbar.

Even apart from Kruger, there must be some interesting places to go enjoy
nature and scenery in your area, even if there aren't as many lions etc.
