So, here I was, trying to figure out what to do about hardware upgrades, how to budget for them etc. I went to move images from my trip off my SSD onto my spinny drives. It turns out my spinny drives are full, and I no longer have any empty bays in my computer. So, I get to take the money that I’d spend on faster processing and throw it at hard drives.
So, the plan is to replace three smaller drives with two larger ones, get more storage, an empty bay in my computer *and* another complete set of backups. I’m a major proponent of many backups, and refreshing them often. I did some research, found something that looked like it would work, ordered them on amazon prime, due to arrive on Monday. I thought I had enough room on my credit card, but I transferred a bit more just to be sure. This morning I got the notification that the transfer had gone through, and also that my credit card order from yesterday had been declined. Normally, I’d just shuffle things around and resubmit the order, but right now, I think I’ll wait to see if I still have a house for them to deliver the drives to. And to think, I have over a fortnight before my birthday for more fun and games to happen. -- Larry Colen [email protected] -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
