We've been watching the fire maps quite closely; the western edge of Santa Cruz is nudging up against the mandatory evacuation line, and UCSC has been given an evacuation warning. We're in the southern outskirts of San Jose; no immediate danger, but there's only one ridge between us and the fire zone.
