I like that photo, and it is an interesting creature, Alan!
It is nicely framed, despite the restrictions from the focal length.
It reminded me when a fellow Australian PDMLer, Rob, my wife and I were
photographing two mid-size lizards (not as big as yours, but much bigger
than a gecko, one 20-30 cm, the other one - 40-50 cm long) at Bundeena
National Park. They were motionless on the stones, on the beach, and I
was inching closer to them in a squatting position, being just about a
meter (3 ft.) away from them. (I had 50-135mm mounted on top of AF 1.7x
adapter at that moment.)
I don't remember who asked that question, my wife or Rob: "What would Igor
do if the lizard would suddenly jump toward him?

So, I am curious, - how far were you from your (much bigger) monitor, and
was it close enough to dash toward you? ;-)
