   I'd spot meter a sky area close to the sun, then apply a +2 or +3
   EV compensation, depending on how far is from blue.
   As for the landscape, I'd look for an element with an interesting
   profile, suitable for silhouette. The landscape itself won't fit in
   the exposure latitude anyway.
