Interesting. Thanks for posting Igor. The "catfish" we have here look
more like mini-whale sharks. They are ferocious fighters more commonly
known as Barbel. In rivers and dams where crocs are present they seldom
get over 2Kg but in large expanses of water (like Kariba) 15Kg is
common. There is also a larger a larger species called the Vundu which
can get as big as 40Kg. Unusually, these fish have labyrinth organs in
their gill cavities which allows them to breath air & survive out of
water for extended periods.
