Not too impressed with what I've seen thus far. I just looked through one portfolio, the homeless. The photos are clich�, and show little connection between the photographer and the people he was photographing. Overall, I was not impressed.
IMO, the most important aspect of portraiture, regardless of the type, is that the photographer and the subject have some sort of connection.
