Nearly all modern Pentax filters are SMC, and marked accordingly, although I found an old non-SMC 49mm Pentax "flood" filter (looks like an 80A, maybe for floodlights at sports events?) at a yard sale.
However, I read somewhere that polarizing filters are usually not multi-coated. Does someone else know for sure? In my opinion, go with Pentax, and don't be in doubt!
