I don’t know what the problem with that link was, it works for me. Maybe
flickr was spazzing out, like it does sometimes, or the link hadn’t propagated
to all of the servers.
As usual, you are right; the bird on the branch is the pick of the litter.
I almost didn’t include that one because I had so many shots that were so much
clearer, but I liked it well enough aesthetically to put it in.

their normal habitat went up in flames this year so they’ve been seen a

of places they don’t normally show up. We also had a windstorm earlier

the week, which blew a lot of redwood seeds down. They seem a bit less
skittish than a lot of the other small birds around here, so I was able
