Walking in the woods with the 150-450 and K-1 on a monopod with a Black Rapid strap is fine. I use that setup to shoot sports as well. For birding I use it on a tripod with heavy duty ball head and the DA 1.4X converter. I shoot full frame knowing the converter will vignette a bit in the corners.
