Had some time to sit outside and enjoy the sun yesterday. My knee has deteriorated to the point where I can’t stand for long without the joint separating (surgery next month), so I’m now shooting from a lawn chair. I can make that work with the tripod, but it limits my range, so I’ve take to using a monopod with a ball head. That’s working fine for me. This guy was high up in a spruce tree. I upped my shutter speed from 1/500th to 1/1000th for this shot, but I’ve found I can still shoot at 1/500th as well. Shake reduction on, 630mm, f8, 1/1000th. Cropped to about 50% of frame
