Thanks Ann. Meg says the yellow flowers are Winter Aconite, I say the duck in question is the female WoodDuck.
We are doing ok, we haven’t totally hibernated (and now we’ve both had the vaccinations) but unfortunately I have not really been out and about with my camera. All of the photos in the set here we’re taken within 50 feet of our house. Living through the flood last May, being still in flood restoration/rebuilding mode 10 months later, those are not good things. But on balance we are grateful for the location of our house which gives us so much opportunity to enjoy the natural surroundings.
