Glad you found it amusing, folks. The Ellies are standing next to a drinking trough which used to be fed via a wind-pump & reservoir. The wind-pumps & some weirs throughout Kruger have recently been removed because the permanent water supplies they provided were attracting predators into areas where they would not normally be found & threatening populations of slow breeding antelope like Roan & Bushbuck. The open top 30' diam. reservoirs still provide occasional water after rainstorms.
