I went on a little 2 hour/23 mile ride yesterday, up a road called China Grade. It’s a fun road that goes from Hwy 236/Big Basin Way to Hwy 236, avoiding most of Big Basin state park. Unfortunately, a big chunk of the road is blocked off with a gate. 8 months later, the signs of the fire are very sobering, there is a whole lot of dead vegetation, as we enter into this year’s fire season, after a dry winter.
On the way, I stopped and took this photo of where a redwood had grown around some barbed wire: https://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/51144905866/in/album-72157719102686925/ For those that are interested, the full set: https://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/albums/72157719102686925 More documentary than artistic. I just hope that these stay as “after” rather than becoming “before” photos. -- Larry Colen [email protected] -- %(real_name)s Pentax-Discuss Mail List To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected] to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
