Thanks, Rick. Actually there are two photos - scroll L for the other. I took the red down a bit on both as you suggested but it didn't bring up any detail.

In the relatively warm Lowveld we get two crops of butterflies each year. The 
"winter" forms are generally darker (more suffused) in colour than the summer 
forms. Hordes of Peiridae (Whites) have appeared in the last couple of days. I caught 
some imbibing on Pointsettia flowers. Strangely, very few females which are more yellow 
in colour but with similar dark markings.
