A little rain usually doesn't stop our Memorial Day parade either. My son, who was the lead trombone in his MS and HS maroming off the long COVID lockdown, no one really wanted to send all the young people out in that chilly mess.
Likewise, this year they postponed our town's premier Memorial Day weekend event, The Tour of Somerville, a 50 mile bike race said to be the oldest competitive bike race in the US. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tour_of_Somerville That also usually goes rain or shine, but It will be held on Labor Day this year.
