I'm going to ask my bank to remove the feature if they can...
I dont have an OMNI card - that is the point...  THe omni machine on the busses and on subways read any card you have that is contactless.. IF the Omni card reader were farther away from the slot we put metro cards in, I would not have lost my $2.75.. There have been stories of those using contactless procedures and been charged twice... those with lots more funds than I have would probably never know..

Quite a few places I go to are not even taking cash nowadays, for the same 
reason.

Simplest thing to do is to keep your OMNI card separate from your credit/debit 
cards, and keep the credit/debit cards in an RFID-blocking sleeve, IMO. My 
little Bellroy wallet has the RFID-blocking material built into it; I use my 
phone to do most of my purchase transactions anyway nowadays.
