I had a late 2012 Mac Mini and now have the 2018 model connected to a bunch of peripherals including such exotic stuff as a Beyer Headzone headphone amp via a Thunderbolt adaptor, a Terratec Phase 26 audio interface, a TC electronic audio level meter and several external USB discs as well as a NAS and no probs with it.
