Our little group heads out to this wetland area by Lake Ontario 2-3 times a year for various birds, turtles and other animals . Different times of year for different subjects. Today we were quite surprised to see the marsh all dried up, for the most part. Locals that bird watch say it's never been this dry. Apparently there used to be a channel from the lake to the marsh but a large sand dune established itself a number of years ago and land locked it.
