Up to 20th Nov. we suffered a 3 week heat wave peaking at about 40°C
most days. Sable Dam, nearby in the Kruger Park, dropped to about 40% in
this period. In the past week we had an unseasonable cooler spell with
over 100mm rain which has brought the Dam back to about 50%. There are
now pools of water all over the place in the veld & plenty of fresh
grazing. The downside for visitors is that the game has dispersed to
evade the predators.
