In a 'normal' year, we'd now be in Dunkirk and our usual routine this afternoon would have been a trip to the outer harbour, in front of the big Arcelor steel mill, listening to the Nine Lessons and Carols from King's College in Cambridge on BBC Radio 4. Certainly not everyone's idea of Christmas, but who needs a tree with this scenery?
