Walking back from the beach earlier today, I looked up at the beautiful blue Maui sky and how it was accented by the plain beige wall of our condo building. It immediately called to mind one of my favorite images, a beige and blue abstract I took in Sante Fe, using one of the adobe buildings there. This pattern also appealed to me somehow:
