Folks. As a regular exporter, I can offer these pearls:
If you want it insured, the insured value must be declared on the paperwork, which Customs will inevitably see. If you don't want insurance, that's fine, I can have it marked "gift" and low value on the green slip. However, if it goes missing, it's your lookout. To date I don't think any have; the majority of grumbles come from import duty, brokerage fees, and the like. The prices of new gear on our site include UK VAT at 17.5% which will be removed for non-EEC purchases. Used goods by and large carry no reclaimable VAT; thus these prices are pretty much fixed, unless you want everything, in which case I may look favourably in your direction:) Kind regards from sunny Brighton Peter - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
