Thanks, Rick! I was in the process of releasing several newly hatched Monarchs, and I had this one on my hand. When I decided to try to get an image before it flew away, I placed it on a a sheet of white fabric I sometimes use to photograph flowers and other smaller items. When I noticed the shadow, I rearranged the fabric so that the shadow clearly included the antennae, which I thought would make the image a bit more interesting.
