Well John, I've never been shot by a gun, so I guess no one has, if we
go by your logic.
Sheesh.
The conditions that caused hot spots were common enough that I stopped
using the lens. Maybe you haven't noticed them, maybe your shooting
conditions are rare enough that you won't see them, maybe I'm just more
perceptive than you regarding my photography.
Either way, you do you.
Regarding the AF vs. MF. thing, that is you putting a set of goal posts
where none exists to accommodate your narrative.
The D FA lens is better because it is every bit as good opticaly as the
A lens, but doesn't have the problems with hot spots. Note that in my
response to you I didn't mention anything about AF? It's almost like the
AF component of the DFA lens wasn't part of the conversation and all I
was talking about was the optical qualities.
