Meh. Certainly not ‘swathes’ of the country. There have been an unprecedented 
number of fires during the recent hot spell - most started by carelessness: 
BBQs, smoking, other. But nothing on the scale of past/current fires in other 
parts of the world. France and Spain are suffering far more worse than we are.

A balmy 20 c here in southern England today and rain.
