In searching for an image to submit for the January PUG, I came across three that brought back pleasant memories. I chose one for the PUG, but decided to use the others as PESOs, although you may have seen slightly different versions of them before.
The Bridges of Kings County This is an image taken from the Observatory Deck of the "Freedom Tower," formally known as One World Trade Center, in lower Manhattan. The two bridges are the Manhattan Bridge on the left and the Brooklyn Bridge on the right, both of which span the East River, between Manhattan (New York County) and Brooklyn (Kings County). The Brooklyn Bridge is particularly meaningful to me, as I had represented the Roebling family, descendants of John (1806-1869), Washington (1837-1926), and Emily Warren (1843-1903) Roebling, who designed and built the iconic bridge by triumphing over great obstacles. http://dan-matyola.squarespace.com/danmatyolas-pesos/2022/12/31/bridges K-5 IIs, smc DA 18-135 mm F 3.5-5.6 ED AL [IF] DC WR Comments, criticisms, questions, and suggestions are invited and appreciated.
