If I had bought the 6 bay machine I'd be using raid 7, but with the 5 bay
box I'll likely use raid 6. My Drobo is set up to allow two discs to fail,
and I like the extra redundancy.
The only thing I wish I had been able to do was buy discs a few months to a
year apart so that if the manufacturer has a bad batch of drives I won't
fund out about it by having all the drives fail at once.
