There's a Photoshop trick that can eliminate those wires. Take two photos of the scene from a few feet apart. Stack them in Photoshop. Choose "Median" & "automatically align".

It should make an image with the houses aligned and the power lines disappear.

It works better if you're shooting from a tripod, but I have managed to make it work from handheld.
