USP seems to have gotten their shit together fairly well over the past
decade or so. My lens left Winnipeg just before noon on Friday and was
delivered just after 4:00pm in Regina. This is a 5 hour drive, and I'm
pretty sure they truck from Winnipeg to here.
I think the biggest problem people had with UPS was asking them to
deliver to residential addresses. They really weren't equipped to deal
with that until online shopping forced them to up their game.
If one was delivering to a business or office, they were generally
pretty good, but for residential deliveries, they had some really bad
service.
I have deliveries done at my wife's law office. It's possible that the
delivery address being a lawyer makes them better because they, like all
sane people, don't want to be on the wrong side of that group of people.
