I listened to an interesting podcast last night about the photographer George Masa:
https://www.wunc.org/podcast/the-broadside/2025-11-20/the-curious-case-of-george-masa

The first half is the long known story about him. How he arrived in a small town, started working in a hotel, ended up being a photographer critically influential in getting the Appalachian trail to become a National park, but nobody knew anything about his previous life. The second half is about how after a documentary aired they connected with some vital clues and were able to find out who he was before, and why he took on a new identity.

Fun stuff.
