Anas is a type of duck.

My guess is capiti has to do with hat or head.

Looking up the heron, I think it might be a grey

It was my boss's birthday yesterday, we went on a walk at Heaps Peak Arboretum and then to Lake Gregory in Crestline. There were a lot of birds at the Lake. Unfortunately I didn't get any decent ones of the cormorant.

I think that like most of this list, several of the birds are coots. I recognized the Mallards, not sure what sort of heron (great blue maybe?)
