I'm going to regret this one day, but here goes: For Sale to the list before it goes on eBay:
Much revered SMC Pentax-A* 85mm f/1.4 in absolutely MINT condition. 700 UK Pounds, no offers. The front element is spotless. The rear element is spotless. Focus and aperture are consistent and smooth. Diaphragm blades are immaculately clean and smooth. In the interests of truthfulness, there are a few minuscule dust (?) spots on an inside element - these are of virtually no consequence to the lens performance I have been told. There is one small scrape (2 or 3mm) on the lens barrel, over which the previous owner has touched up with black paint. You'll be hard-pressed to see it. Supplied with front and rear Pentax caps, AND a new Hoya 67mm Skylight [1B] filter for front element protection, and original case, with strap, in original styrofoam inserts, in original Pentax supplied box, including original slip of paper with serial number on it. This is just how it would have been supplied from new. Give me a few days and I could track down the guy who bought it ;-) I have used this lens, but I have looked after it. It has been stored in a dry environment with silica gel protection when not used. It has performed flawlessly and given me some stunning results. It breaks my heart to sell it - but I have had to come to a few decisions regarding my future photographic intentions, and this includes acquiring cash, and does not include keeping this lens. The asking price is what I paid for this lens about 18 months ago - I don't gain anything except the pleasure of having used and looked after this capable piece of K-mount history. Insured postage will be included within the UK. Outside the UK, payment must be in a UK currency international money order issued by a bank or post office, or direct bank account transfer, with any fees paid by the buyer. The following are not acceptable: Paypal, Bidpay, Nochex, Western Union money orders. International shipping will be by the method of your choosing - with the costs to be paid by the buyer. I will mark the customs label as you see fit. Packaging will be of the overkill variety. Expect a box the size of a small car ;-) NOTE that the PDML UK meet at Duxford is on July 13th, and several PDMLers are travelling from abroad to be here. It may be possible to arrange payment and delivery through a visiting PDMLer, or it may not. In this instance, cash in US dollars would be acceptable! This would need further investigation, and may not be possible. Or you can collect from Duxford! Also note that complete privacy is guaranteed in this sale, should you desire.
