Rumors seen on photo.net re: Photokina announcement in September. Forget
about your Nikon D2x, Canon 1Ds, Nikon D200, Canon D120, Contax N2 etc.
Ignore the Foveon hype.

"Has anyone found out any concrete details about the revolutionary new
technology rumoured to be released at Photokina by a consortium
involving Kodak, Fuji, Agfa, Ilford, and Konica? To be called "universal
visual format", some amazing claims are circulating about its potential
including: Platform independent files that will be readable in 100 years
time using something called “fast integrated light management”
technology, very high resolution (30 megapixels equivalent in medium
format), very cheap removable memory ($7 per gigabyte!), compatible with
all existing interchangeable lens ranges and no focal length multiplier
effect, projectors that will have more than twice the resolution of
digital at a quarter of the cost. Sounds too good to be true? "

Whats the acronym for “fast integrated light management”??
