My father was born in Gwalchmai (just about the center of Anglesey) and his
family moved to Penmaenmawr when he was about 12 (and he had to start learning
English). I remember visiting the area when we lived in Rugby and I was 5 years
old (I thought that the spiral staircases in Conwy Castle were the coolest
things ever).
