Probably not by coincidence, I met up with several people who shared my
interest. I managed to fill a 128GB CFExpress card about halfway through
the show and had not bothered to take any spare CF cards for the second
slot since 4000 pictures should surely be enough.
I had copied by BIF setup over to the one I was setting up for airplanes
and forgot to turn down the frame rate, so everything was at 40FPS until
halfway through (about 20 minutes in) when I got the memory full alert.
In retrospect I don't mind. I got to see the back half of the show with
my own eyes rather than through a lens. I do wish I had been able to get
pictures of them coming in for a landing, but so it goes.
I need a bigger card.

Very cool. I saw them myself a few weeks back at Huntington Beach. Some friends
of mine live about a mile from the beach so a group of us met at their place
and walked down to see the airshow. I made the conscious decision to leave my
camera gear in the car so that I would concentrate on socializing with friends
rather than doing photography. Also sand. And not wanting to spend something
like six hours with a heavy camera or two hanging off my neck.

Off topic because it wasn't shot on Pentax.
Yesterday the RCAF Snowbirds put on their final show with the CT-117 jets they
have been flying since 1971. Since it was a mere 1 hour drive for me I decided
to load up and see what there was to see.
This was the first time I have seen them doing more than a flyby, I had never
seen their full 45 minute performance before. It was awesome.
Fuji X-H2s & Fuji 150mm-600mm.
