W, as fas as I understand it, not exactly. The high bid sits at a level just above the second-highest bid, even if the reserve is not met. If you had met or exceeded the reserve with your maximum bid, the bid level would then have sat at the reserve price, until someone either outbids you, or you win the auction. I think.
