Well, with Vuescan, available from http://www.hamrick.com you can do batch scanning without using Photoshop or another program, Vuescan will do the scan and save it on your hard disk, so you can do the PhotoShop magic in a later phase. You can instruct it to release the memory after the scan. This means that you use less memory and you don't use the manufacturers driver. -- Frits J.
