After all I'd heard about Heathrow, I took a couple of rolls through there on my way home. Attached to the X-ray machine was a sign declaring it to be safe with all kinds of film, even the high-speed stuff. So I put everything through the machine. It also went through X-ray machines at LAX and Auckland. No security coming into the domestic terimal at Christchurch airport: I was seriously unimpressed that anyone off the street has access to the domestic baggage claim area... The camera had 400-speed film in it and it wasn't affected at all. I don't think I've used the two fresh rolls of Reala I also had at the time.
