thanks a lot. looks impressive. i need to think hard. these days, i am scanning at 4000 dpi, so it's a little easier to see certain things. here is the central portion of a scan from a Provia 100F original taken with my FA* 80-200 f2.8. i don't remember the aperture, but it was probably on the order of f11. i was really close, so there isn't much depth of field. nonetheless, check out the feathers on the right side and near the tail. this was a relatively fast shutter speed and on a tripod. the bird was standing still and no wind that i could notice. http://users.bestweb.net/~hchong/temp/raven-center.jpg Herb.... - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
