I know a guy who shoved his Super A into a plastic bag and proceeded to 
take photos in shallow seawater.  The inevitable happened and the camera 
got wet.

He soaked the camera in fresh water to get the salt out, and dried it 
out.  He used hot water as it'd hold more salt and also dry out faster.  
When it dried the shutter blades rusted so he pulled the camera to bits 
and cleaned them, then put it back together (he had nothing to lose).  
Ever since then its been working "like a bought one".  This happened 
several years ago, BTW.

I've also heard a story of a K1000 that spent a few hours in an upside-
down 4WD vehicle.  In a flooded river.  The owner claimed insurance and 
another guy I know bought the camera cheap.  Dried it out and it goes 
just fine to this day.  This happened a few years ago, too.

I'd be impressed if an MZ-S could survive that kind of treatment!
