Just purchased a used Manfrotto 055 tripod and a 136 head. The tripod is awesome. Built like a tank, great for MF cameras. The head, not realizing that it was for video cameras, seems like it's going to be useless for my needs. It has the smoothest action I've seen on a tripod, and it will hold a cannon on it. Originally I was going to state that it won't do 90 degrees, but then I realized that there's a red plastic tab that has to be pushed in.
Still, if anyone has a Manfrotto head that would be more useful to me, and needs a 136 head, I would be interested in some sort of a trade. Otherwise I may just get a simple ball head for it. Jeff.
