Well, since you have been to Watkins Glen twice, I won't suggest it unless you haven't
visited the glen itself. Get a ride to the top and walk down, and last I knew they
were doing
a laser show on the walls of the glen in the evening. Go east to Ithaca and visit
Buttermilk
Falls State Park. Taughannock Falls on the way to Trumansburg are pretty, there is
an
impressive drop but not a lot of flow unless it has been raining. Montour Falls is a
pretty
site. Between Montour Falls and Watkins Glen there are some streams along the cliff
that
are quite impressive when there has been rain or spring runoff. The foliage can be
pretty
too, depending on when you are to be there. Around Columbus Day seemed to be the
peak if I remember correctly. There are some museums in the area, at Cornell in
Ithaca
and others. I've been out of that area too long to recommend too much more. Oh,
yeah, a
must see is the glass museum in Corning. If I remember correctly, there is a museum
of
western (cowboy and indian) art in Corning too, a lot of Remington work. If it is
still there,
Walter Taylor had a wine making museum in Hammondsport, and had a lot of his art on
display too, behind the Bully Hill Winery. Some of the wineries used to put on a
pretty
good tour too. You might even catch them crushing grapes, although you may be about a
month too late, depending on the grape harvest.

If you have never been there, the Seneca Lodge in Watkins Glen is an interesting
place.
Go for dinner and check out the bar. There have been archery championships contested
there for years, and the winners have put an arrow into the ceiling. Racing
memoribilia too,
as it used to be the center of activity for the racing crowd at the race track.
