You'll get used to the weight as quickly as you get spoiled by the bright image and faster focusing. The annoying part is that every time you pull out that lens, someone will say, "With a lens that size, he's compensating for a lack somewhere else.". These are typically people who are impressed by a 28-200 zoom, and often remark, "Whut a fancy-dancy camera!" Never mind them, the lens is bright, sharp, and a pleasure to use.
