Well, I foraged around some and have purchased two old screwmount kits. One is
the K and it's shutter needs some help. The other is a Heiland H3 (USA version of the
S3).
I had trouble with the H3 as it came frozen up. The shutter button was depressed
and nothing would move. After an exterior spray of penetrating oil (not
recommended!), nothing got better until I attached a cable release. It pulled up the
shutter button and things worked.
I took it to a local camera show and had the shutter tested. Slowest speeds were
off (this I could hear!) but the rest was OK. This is rather amazing. I figure this
camera is at least 35 years old and still in operating condition.
Regards, Bob S.
