Pat,

Yeah I've done that one too.  Not only that, I have accidentally
changed the aperture while twisting on the lens without realizing it -
thinking that the aperture was ok.  Something like that I usually
catch within a frame or two.

This leaf shutter thing was much worse.  I even changed lenses, shot a
few frames (they turned out) and then put back on the leaf shutter
lens.  All the while not suspecting that the shutter was cocked and
waiting for me to manually trip it.  I'm still steamed about it.
